Citizen's Academy

Citizen’s Academy offers members of the Federal Way Community a better understanding of the policies and procedures of the Federal Way Police Department. Participants learn about the men and women protecting their community and why they make the decisions they do. Class meets one evening a week for 10 weeks. Classroom sessions cover the basic functions of the Police Department: patrol, traffic, investigations and support services. Participates must be 18 years or older to attend.

Security Lighting

Street lighting and the lighting of the gazebo down at the entrance is important to deter prowlers. If you see that any lights have burned out or been damaged, please let Mike Alderson OR Wes Will know ASAP. They are our go-to guys for the community lighting.

In addition to the community lighting, all residents are encouraged to keep their property well lighted.

In general our neighborhood is pretty safe, but we need to work to keep it that way!
